  • 2018 – A passed legislation expanded the use of MMJ to patients with medical conditions other than epilepsy upon recommendation of a physician.
  • 2020 – Possession of medical marijuana was legalized. Those who are registered have legal protection.
  • 2021 – A passed legislation legalizing the use of the whole marijuana plant or botanical cannabis. Adults aged 21 and older can carry one ounce of cannabis or cannabis products and share them with other adults. They can also cultivate up to four cannabis plants in their home, as long as it’s discreet and secure.

This legislation also prevents employers from terminating employees who use cannabis outside of work.
